What's happening to Education in the U.S.? PDF Print E-mail

Forty years ago, the United States was the world leader in high school graduation rates.  Now the U.S. ranks 18 out of 24 industrialized nations!  This is a report delivered last April by McKinsey and Co., a global management consulting firm.  The report goes on to say that relationships are what keeps students in school.  When someone helps a struggling student realize the value of an education, they will stay in school and perform at higher levels.

Teacher and student relationships are key but teachers can't do it all.  If this report calls for anything it calls for community action through well structured, sustainable  partnerships.  See the book Facing the Future Together: Forming Successful School-Business Partnerships!

Anybody who wants the presidency so much that he'll spend two years organizing and campaigning for it is not to be trusted with the office.
