There has never been a better time for school-business partnerships. Economic conditions, on a world-wide basis, are terrible. Job loss, home foreclosures and the failure of banks and businesses have effected most of us. But education and business must survive and one of the best ways for this to happen is through PARTNERSHIP. School-business partnerships are mutually beneficial in this time of crisis. I can hear the reaction now, "But these cost money!" Wrong. In fact one of the 12 commandments for forming successful, sustainable partnerships is that a school-business partnership should never be structured around financial matters. "The real value of a school-business partnership lies in the people-to-people relationships it engenders, not in the amount of money that changes hands." - An excerpt from the book Facing the Future Together.
