Parents can be an integral part of developing partnerships.  The parent Teacher Association (PTA) is active in schools throughout the country.  This parent agency plays a very important role in support of education.  Their participation in fund raising, field trips, volunteerism and celebrating student achievement can become even more successful when the business community becomes involved as a partner and helps to support their efforts.

Parents can be an important part of forming and sustaining school-business partnerships.  A suggested procedure for the PTA, or individual parents in forming a partnership is described in the book Facing the Future Together:  Forming Successful School-Business Partnerships which can be ordered through www.successfulschoolbusiness.com or directly from Amazon.com.
